Astra Games

Astra Games
The Novomatic subsidiary Astra Games is rather unknown in the EU countries, but it is a real institution in Great Britain.
Based in Bridgend, Welsh since 1992, this company has been producing exciting slot machines for casinos and was the first company to launch multiplayer games in this area. No wonder that Novomatic secured the majority stake in this company in autumn 2004 and integrated it into its own group.
Later, Astra Games was not only chosen by the Austrians for the distribution of their own Novoline slot machines on the island but also became the spearhead of the new branch of business with online casinos. This became particularly clear when Astra took over around 70 per cent of the Austrian company Greentube for Novomatic in 2010 and completed the purchase in 2011 with the remaining 30 per cent.
Since then, everything that has even a little to do with the digital business around Novoline Casinos has been operating under the Astra Games umbrella. Since Novomatic’s acquisition of Astra in 2004, the whole conglomerate in the UK has grown. Astra is not only responsible for the distribution of Ainsworth slot machines in Europe, but also for the Belly-Fruit Games slots.
In addition, there are Luxury Leisure and Gamestec, two large operators of gambling temples on the island under the roof of the British Novomatic subsidiary. In the business area with the online casinos, Astra can fall back on the products of its own subsidiaries. For example, Greentube, which adapt the Novoline slot machines for the online casinos, Extreme Live Gaming, which offer live casino games, and Mazooma Interactive.
