The rules of Vegas Strip Blackjack, the winning strategy and the best online casinos providing the game and a great welcome bonus!

The Vegas Strip is the four-mile part of South Las Vegas Boulevard, which starts from the McCarran International Airport in the south and ends in the Sahara Avenue crossing, an area that boasts an enormous array of casinos and hotels. And this famous casino area in Nevada USA gave its name to maybe the most popular form of Blackjack card game. The Strip Blackjack, or the Vegas Strip Blackjack, as it is also known.

This game variation has of course, its roots in the Las Vegas Strip, which gave birth to this extremely popular Blackjack variation. The good thing that we don’t have to go all the way to Vegas to enjoy top-notch casino gaming. For the classic Blackjack and for all variations like the Vegas Strip Blackjack, we have the luxury the internet gives us.

We can play these casino games and try to beat the dealer with a total of 21,  in the comfort of our home. Note, that this Blackjack variation isn’t available in every online casino. We selected some of the best online casinos that offer the Vegas Strip Blackjack game. Check out their best sign-up offers!

Vegas Strip Blackjack

The Vegas Strip blackjack rules are pretty much the same as other blackjack games. The goal is to put cards together for a higher value than the dealer. The objective of the game remains the one that unifies all blackjack games. Get a blackjack, a two-card 21, or beat the dealer by getting a score as close to, but not over 21 as possible.

If your cards total more than 21, you will lose your bet and lose the game. Although the main part of the game is nothing unique, I would like to remind you that the devil hides in the details. And for details, look at how many decks are used, and the various betting options.

Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with four standard 52-card decks that are shuffled before each game. The dealer has a face down card that he can see if his face up card is either an ace or a ten value card. A nice feature of the table game is that you have the option to take out insurance. This is an additional way to win back your bet if you are unsettled by the dealer’s hand.

As with other multi-deck games, you also have the option to double the split hand. This can lead to significant payouts. If you want to split your hands, you must receive two cards of the same value.

With this blackjack variant, you can split your hand up to three times, which corresponds to a total of four playable hands. If you get an ace with a split hand, you get another card and the hand ends automatically.

It is important to note that 21s on split hands do not count as blackjack and therefore are paid out 1: 1 instead of the usual 3: 2 awarded for blackjack. That is the core of the Vegas Strip blackjack rules.

The game rules

  • Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with four standard 52-card decks that are shuffled before each game
  • The dealer has a face down card that he can see if his face up card is either an ace or a ten value card. If the dealer’s hand is 21 he wins
  • Dealer stands on soft 17
  • Double down on any initial hand
  • Double down after splitting
  • Split up to four hands per game
  • Aces can be split only once
  • Allowed to split 10-value cards even if different (e.g. jack-king)
  • 21 on post-split aces doesn’t count as blackjack and are paid 1:1, instead of the usual 3:2 for blackjack.

As you can see there isn’t much difference between Atlantic City, Vegas Downtown and Vegas Strip Blackjack rules. Some of the advantages of playing at a Vegas Strip casino is the dealer must stand on a soft 17 and that players can double down on any two cards. You can use our strip blackjack sheet and follow it as a basic strategy to win, while playing in real money online casinos.

The downside to playing a Vegas Strip Blackjack table compared with the other two versions is that you can not surrender and reduce your loss. Generally, the Vegas Strip rules are player-friendly and have only a small house edge. You reduce the house edge even further by using the following Vegas Strip Blackjack strategy chart.

Vegas Strip Blackjack strategy

Following the correct Vegas Strip Blackjack strategy can be really easy if you follow our Vegas Strip strategy chart.  We have outlined the best plays depending on your hand and the dealer’s up card, while following the standard Vegas Strip Blackjack rules.

The basic rules of blackjack are knowing when to split, double, buy (not buy) insurance, and when to hit.

Statistically, if you follow a few tips, you increase the odds in your favor. In this section, we will introduce you to the best ways to win in blackjack.

It is a game of chance, but above all a level head and a calm, mechanical calculation.Patience, persistence and religious respect for the rules of profit can make the difference.

In order to win:

  • Be prepared.
  • Know the rules.
  • Use a good strategy.
  • Use your mind, not your heart.
  • Keep calm when trouble arises.

Blackjack is one of the few games (because it has very clear rules) in casinos where math knowledge offers a real advantage over the casino. Once you’ve studied statistics, everything is easier, or at least more predictable.

For example, in this variation you know that the dealer stands on a soft seventeen, and he loses in 29% of those situations. So, it is easier for you to make the smart move.

Statistics

A brilliant scientist, Blaise Pascal, came up with a theory of probability for casino games. Few people enjoy studying the theory in depth.

Statistical theory isn’t that fun, but when applied to card games, it can make a difference. For example, it is determined that the overall chances of winning in blackjack are around 42%, so the chance of winning six hands in a row is 0.99% and seven hands in a row is 0,46%. Also, the probability of blackjack in a game with six decks is slightly less than 5%.

Even so, you don’t have to be a genius with a predisposition to calculating the streak disposition to achieve a successful winning streak. If you know the basic rules and your Vegas Strip Blackjack sheet, the odds will clearly work in your favor.
